Information, not advice

Everything on nailconfidence.com is general information about nail design and nail care. It is not medical, dermatological or professional advice, and it is not a substitute for seeing someone who can examine your hands.

Safety

Nail products involve real chemicals. Acetone, gel monomers, acrylic liquid, primers and UV lamps all carry risks when they are used incorrectly. Follow the instructions on the product you actually bought, work in a ventilated room, and never force an enhancement off a nail plate. If a removal is not working, stop and see a technician. Pulling a set off takes layers of nail with it.

Stop and see a doctor if a nail becomes painful, swollen, warm, discoloured, separated from the bed or changed in shape, or if you develop a rash around the nail after using a product. Allergic reactions to uncured gel and acrylate are common and they get worse with repeat exposure rather than better.

Accuracy

Prices, wear times and product formulations change. Everything here was accurate as far as we could check it when it was written or last updated, and each guide carries its own update date. If you find something wrong, tell us and it will be fixed: contact.

Affiliate and advertising

Nail Confidence currently carries no advertising and earns no affiliate commission. If that changes, any page containing a paid or commissioned link will say so clearly at the top of that page, before the content, and this section will be updated to describe the arrangement.
